Overview
The gondola transports guests from the valley floor to the mountaintop theme park entrance. Back when Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park only offered guests cave tours, buses used to transport guests up and down the mountain. The grand opening of the Iron Mountain Tramway was in the spring of 2003, and the Glenwood Gondola now continues its legacy of making people smile on their way up to the only mountaintop amusement park in America.
Visitors experience a towering panoramic view of the spectacular Rocky Mountain scenery as they skim over the tops of the trees, up to the top of Iron Mountain and the entrance to Glenwood Caverns and Historic Fairy Caves.
Visitors of all ages enjoy the 5-minute scenic ride inside six-person, fully-enclosed gondolas with large clear windows. The gondolas are wheelchair-accessible, including motorized wheelchairs.
